Description

Dennis Wilde - Gerding Edlen, Ralph DiNola - Green Building Services, Gene Sandoval and Dave Gonrowski - ZGF will conduct a panel discussion about the current state of sustainable design in regional, national and international Architecture. This will be a lively discussion to consider the impact of the exterior enclosure on the complete building including day lighting, thermal implications, air quality, ventilation, constructability and marketability.

Gerding Eden continues to be at the forefront of bringing sustainable buildings to the Northwest. They will give their perspective on the commitment it takes to lead, the lessons learned along the way and the impediments to doing more.

Green Building Services is a national leader in green building consulting. As a professional consulting firm located in Portland, they work nationally and internationally to assist clients to successfully adopt green building and facility management practices.

ZGF is a local firm with strong regional ties, but with national and international projects that address the issue of designing with sustainable concepts in mind. Their varied projects with sophisticated clients and users offer opportunities to push materials and concepts beyond the norm.

Please come and participate in the discussion of the current status and how we, as a design community, can help to take sustainable design to another level and what that level would look like.
